1. Which First Aid course do I need?

4. How long does a First Aid certificate last?
Most workplace First Aid qualifications are valid for three years from the date of completion.
To remain qualified, you should book a renewal course before your certificate expires. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) also recommends annual refresher training to help first aiders maintain their confidence and practical skills between renewals.
If you're unsure when your certificate expires, contact us and we'll be happy to advise you on the most appropriate renewal course.
5.Can you deliver First Aid Training at our workplace?
Yes.
We regularly deliver First Aid Training at:
- Businesses
- Schools
- Leisure centres
- Care providers
- Construction sites
- Community organisations
On-site training reduces travel time, allows us to tailor scenarios to your workplace and can be more cost-effective for groups.
6. Do you train individuals?
Absolutely.
Whether you're completing training for employment, renewing your qualification or simply want to learn lifesaving skills, we welcome both individuals and group bookings.
7. Is online First Aid Training recognised?
Online learning can be useful for First Aid awareness and theory.
However, regulated workplace qualifications such as Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work require practical assessment and cannot usually be completed entirely online.
Always check that the course meets your employer's or industry's requirements.
8. What's the difference between Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW)?
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a one-day course covering essential lifesaving skills and is suitable for many low-risk workplaces.
First Aid at Work (FAW) is a three-day qualification covering a broader range of medical emergencies, injuries and illnesses. It is typically required for higher-risk workplaces or larger organisations.
9. Do I need to renew my First Aid certificate?
Yes.
To remain qualified, you should renew your certificate before it expires.
Booking your renewal in advance helps avoid any gaps in certification and ensures your skills remain current.
